Display Operations and Settings for Your Bluetooth Device

When you add (or pair) a Bluetooth enabled device, one of the following icons is placed on your desktop to enable using and configuring the device’s Bluetooth services:

Remote Bluetoooth enabled computer

    

Bluetoooth enabled headset

Bluetooth enabled phone

Bluetooth enabled stereo headphones

Bluetooth enabled PDA

Bluetooth enabled camera

Bluetooth enabled modem

Unknown Bluetooth enabled device

NOTE: If you have not already added the Bluetooth device to this computer, see Set up a Bluetooth enabled device in Windows Help and Support for instructions.

To display operations and settings for your Bluetooth enabled device:

Double-click the icon on your desktop.

-or-

Double-click the Bluetooth control icon in the Windows notification area. Then, double-click the Bluetooth device icon, or right-click the icon and select Control.

NOTE: Bluetooth devices differ in the services they offer. Some of these options may not display for your device.

Some Bluetooth devices may not support all the listed operations. Contact the device manufacturer if you experience difficulty connecting to an operation.

Also, certain operations may be disabled by your IT administrator. A message displays if you attempt to use these functions. Contact your IT administrator for more information.
