When finished, a message displays to confirm that the backup was successful.
If you previously backed up PIM items such as contacts, calendar items, e-mail messages, and notes from another Bluetooth-enabled device to your computer, you can restore them to the device. You can also restore to a different device to ensure that your PIM information is consistent across devices.

Note that the folder names identify the device name, date, and time of the backup.
You can click Select All to restore all items of the selected type.
You can also enter a keyword in the search box and click

Refer to the instructions for each task.
Use this option to synchronize PIM items such as contacts, calendar items, e-mail, and notes from another Bluetooth enabled device with this computer. When you synchronize, items are compared on the two devices. If an item exists on one device but not on the other, it is copied there. Synchronization works in both directions. When items match but show different dates for when they were last updated, you can choose which item to keep on each device.
To synchronize files between this computer and another Bluetooth device:
You will receive a notification when complete. For items that match but show different dates, a window displays to enable you to choose the item to keep on either device.
You can send PIM items such as electronic business cards, calendar items, e-mail messages, and notes to another Bluetooth device. After you add a Bluetooth device that can receive files over a Bluetooth connection, the name and icon for that device are shown in the Computer folder. When you drag a PIM item to this icon, the item is sent to the PIM database of the other device or to its shared folder.
You can also receive PIM items that are sent from other Bluetooth devices.
Supported PIM programs include Windows Contacts, Windows Calendar, Windows Mail, Microsoft® Outlook®, and Lotus Notes®.
To be able to receive PIM items:
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password or click Allow.
NOTE: When another Bluetooth device attempts to send you a file, a Bluetooth File Transfer Access Authorization message is displayed. If the item is being sent from a trusted device, click OK to authorize access. If the item is not being sent from a trusted device, or you are not sure, ignore the request or click Cancel to deny access. You can specify whether to allow access only for the current time, for a specific amount of time, or to always allow access for that particular device. |
You can synchronize PIM items such as contacts, calendar items, e-mail, and notes on a Bluetooth enabled device with this computer. If you have more than one application on this computer for sending e-mail or storing contact information, use this option to select the application to synchronize.
