Connect this Computer to the Internet through Your Bluetooth Device

You may be able to connect this computer to the Internet using the Internet connection on a Bluetooth enabled device such as:

To use your Bluetooth device to connect to the Internet:

  1. Display Bluetooth Operations and Settings for the device.
  2. Click Connect next to Use your Bluetooth device to connect to the Internet.
  3. If prompted by your Bluetooth device, accept the connection.
    4. When the Bluetooth device confirms the connection, you can begin using the Internet on this com­puter.
  4. When finished using the Internet, click Disconnect.

Use this Computer to Make a Call through Your Bluetooth Device

You can use this computer to start a voice call through your Bluetooth enabled phone, PDA, or computer (if it is uses an Internet phone service). This many be convenient when your other device is nearby but not easily accessible; for example, when your phone is stored in your briefcase or luggage.

To use this computer to make a call on your phone or other Bluetooth device:

  1. Display Bluetooth Operations and Settings for the device.
  2. Type the phone number in the box next to Make a call to this number or select a number from the list of the last 10 phone numbers you dialed.
  3. Click Call.
  4. Click Hangup to end the call.

Use Your Bluetooth Device as a Headset or Speakerphone for Calls on this Computer

To use another Bluetooth device as a headset or speakerphone for calls on this computer:

  1. Display Bluetooth Operations and Settings for the device.
  2. Click Connect next to Use my Bluetooth device as a headset or speakerphone for calls on this computer.
  3. On the Bluetooth device, accept the connection, if necessary.
  4. Make the call on this computer.
  5. When finished, click Disconnect.

Use this Computer as a Headset or Speakerphone for Calls on Your Bluetooth Device

If this computer is equipped with speakers and a microphone, or has a connected headset, you can use these devices for calls made through your Bluetooth phone, PDA, or a computer that has Internet phone capability.

To use this computer as a headset or speakerphone for calls made on your Bluetooth device:

  1. Display Bluetooth Operations and Settings for the device.
  2. Click Connect next to Use this computer as a headset or speakerphone for calls on your Bluetooth device.
  3. On the Bluetooth device, allow the connection, if necessary.
  4. Make the call on the Bluetooth device, and use the speakers and microphone or headset device on this computer.
  5. When finished, click Disconnect.
